Chris – What a Smile :)
I had so much fun shooting Chris’ Senior Photos. He is a great guy and has an amazing smile!!! Here are a few of my favorites and one for his grandpa!!!

Kim and Andy
Kim and I have been talking about doing photos of her and Andy for some time now. Well, we were finally able to make it happen!!! What a great couple these two are!!!! Here are a handful of some of my favorites!!!

Special Effects
I have a new program that has some pretty cool effect possibilities. I love “playing” with images to see what different things I can create, although at times it can also be frustrating. It can also take a lot of time and patience. I’m not usually satisfied by just adding 1 special effect filter to an image. I like to adjust all kinds of things and mix different effects, etc. I like such a variety of “looks” but I do tend to find myself leaning toward the more dramatic and different.
Below are just a few images I have recently “played” with and wanted to share them with you. I hope you enjoy looking at them.

Jerry, Carol and their 4 dogs!!!
Yesterday I had the most wonderful time photographing this awesome couple who have been married for 53 years!!!!! They have 4 dogs and it was very obvious that they love them a whole bunch!!!!
Normally I wouldn’t take photos in direct sunlight like I did in some of these, especially the “whole gang” image, but their oldest dog Laila, who I believe they said is 16 years old, is having a hard time getting around. So instead of making her go around to the back where the shade was, we went to her for the photo of the whole gang!!! It was a little bit of work to get everyone to cooperate but I think we accomplished the task fairly well considering all of the circumstances.
Pages & Services Offered
Hello Everyone,
I want to mention and make sure everyone knows that although my new website is also a blog, I do have separate pages you can visit to find out more about me, see proofs from photo sessions, view images in my portfolio, etc. The pages are listed on the right hand side of the page just above the box that lets you subscribe to updates and just to the right of this post
One of the pages listed is the Services Offered page. I will be posting more information and some pricing on that page very soon.
If you are looking for information and pricing on Farm Calls, Senior Photos, Baby or Maternity Photos, please check back soon or contact me for details.
I do shoot a few horse shows/events during each year. There is no cost for me to be the Official Photographer at a show, unless it’s more than 60 miles round trip, then there would be travel expenses involved. My print pricing structure is different for shows & events than it is for Farm Calls or People Pictures. If anyone is interested in more information about show or event photography please contact me.
I also do a few select weddings so if you are looking for a photographer to shoot your most special day, again contact me so we can discuss it in more detail.

Keep Smilin'
My Next Top Model
I had the chance for a quick, unplanned photo shoot and wanted to share the results.
This is one photogenic little girl!!! The first few photos are what I consider “cute”, the last one I think is simply “beautiful”!!!

A three image story board (collage).

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Just look at those eyes!!!

Digital Paintings
I started playing with Digital Painting a couple of years ago. I absolutely LOVE this process and the effect it can have on an image. Not all images are good candidates for Digital Paintings, but when I see one that I think will work, I can’t wait to get started on it.
Below you will see some Before and After samples of my Digital Paintings. Some programs will let you “Auto Paint” a photo to make it look like a painting. Although the program I use offers that option, I do not use auto painting.
My Digital Paintings take hours and even days to complete. I choose the brush type and size, the opacity of the painting effect, etc. I paint every pixel of the image and will usually have 5 or more painted layers by the time I am done.
Although it’s very time consuming, I love the effect it gives an image. Sometimes the effect is dramatic and very noticeable, other times it’s very subtle.
I’ve included “close up” veiws of each image so you can better see the difference in the original photo and the digitally painted version. You can also click on each image for a larger view.
Wedding Photos-Andreas & Marriah
I had the pleasure of taking the photos for Andreas & Marriah on their wedding day!!! They are amazing individuals and I think by looking at the images of their special day you can tell what a special couple they are!!!
If you receive updates by email I don’t think the slideshow will work. If you want to view the sideshow, which I recommend, please click on the post title and it will take you online.
